Driving through the lakeside roads of Cheongpyeong, you might find yourself lost off-track, upon seeing a hillside where bizarre-looking buildings that resemble the ones at the Mediterranean coast stood. You might check your GPS for location accuracy but relax, you’re still in Korea, but in the French dimension. Petite France, a small French cultural village by the countryside, with 16 French-style buildings, which also offers a youth training facility (Goseong Youth Training Center) is where you can lodge (with its total of 34 guest houses), while experiencing the French life and of course, the one you’ll regret missing out, the French cuisine! Previously called the Little Prince Theme Park, which got its name from the world famous novel written by the French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery, you can find a memorial hall dedicated to this celebrated author, and a lot of features and attractions inspired from illustrations of the novel, The Little Prince. You can also hear percussion instruments playing, and enjoy the sight of sculptures and paintings of the French national symbol, the Gallic rooster, in their gallery. You can also find shops that sell various products like herbal and perfumed stuffs, and of course souvenirs. In the Orgel house, visitors can find a200-year old music box playing.
