You’ve been preparing for this moment for over 2 years. You have the perfect itinerary that you have curated with the help of This is Korea. Your bags are packed and your passport is in hand. Not so fast though. Although the mandatory self quarantine upon arrival has been lifted, there are still a few actions you must take before, upon, and after your arrival. Before you get in that Uber and head to the airport, please note these requirements:
Required Documents
- Negative Covid-19 PCR Test Result Certificate or Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) Result
- Health Questionnaire & Travel Record Declaration (on airplane)
- Passport
- Visa (depending on your country)

Temperature Check Upon Arrival
Aside from these documents, you will be required to take your temperature at the quarantine checkpoint upon your arrival. Individuals who are fully vaccinated and show no symptoms may proceed.
If you are symptomatic, you will be required to take a Covid test on the spot. (at your own expense) If the test is negative, you may proceed. However, you will be required to take a follow up Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) at your own expense on either the 6th or 7th day after your arrival. To perform a RAT test, you can use a self home kit or visit a nearby medical center.
If you are symptomatic and also test positive, you will be transferred to a hospital or residential treatment center depending on severity, where you will be quarantined and treated.
Post Entry Covid Test
All travelers are requires to take a Covid test within 24 hours of arrival. We recommend that you get this test out of the way and do it upon your arrival inside the airport. Otherwise, you will have to find a testing center on your own near your place of lodging. Both terminals have 2 testing centers you can visit:
