When we hear the word garden, we probably foresee a beautiful landscape that is filled with varied kinds of flowering plants and pretty fountains. Damyang’s Juknokwon is a garden that you should see: minus the pretty and fascinating flowers. Juknokwon’s bamboo forest and garden is beautiful just the way it is! Perfect for well lit night walks and soothing sightseeing, what Juknokwon has to offer is very refreshing to the eyes. In fact, it will take you an hour to fully explore the garden. Juknokwon in Damyang is a bamboo forest cultivated by the town of Damyang. Seonginsan Mountain behind Damyang Hyanggyo, or a Confucian school, was transformed into Juknokwon Bamboo Garden featuring an artificial waterfall, pavilion, walking paths and an eco-exhibition center, a popular destination for visitors.
On cool evenings, when the lights are turned on, the garden transforms into a magnificent starry place, making people enjoy nice evening walks with the colorful lights.
Visitors also enjoy exploring Jukhyang Experience Village, Hanok Experience Site, Sibi Park and a lot more things to see and do in Juknokwan. Crossing Hyanggyo Bridge from Juknokwon, a forest for preventing floods can be seen.
