We hope everyone is well and staying safe out there during this global outbreak of Covid-19.
We have had some questions about the safety of travel to Korea and the necessary procedures in order to travel to Korea.
At the moment, we do not recommend travel to Korea. It is not because Korea is unsafe. It is actually pretty safe relative to most major countries.
The reason we do not recommend travel at this time is because there is still a mandatory 14 day quarantine for travelers. This is at your own expense. The cost and time expenditures makes travel to Korea more than it is worth.

Requirements
Negative Covid-19 Test – Applicable to some countries and regions. Please check with your local Korean Embassy
Health Screening Upon Arrival – Yes. There will be some combination of temperature checks, health questionnaires, and Covid-19 testing upon arrival and departure.
Quarantine – Yes. All travelers will be required to enter a 14 day quarantine upon arrival. Quarantine will be at traveler’s expense and will require a valid phone number and address in Korea. There will be daily monitoring by local health official.
Curfew – No. There is no curfew at this time.

As previously mentioned, Korea has done a wonderful job in containing the virus and keeping infections to a minimum. The number of new cases have been flat for the last 4 months.
However, like many other countries, Korea has seen a spike in new cases recently. This is something that is concerning and to keep an eye on.
