It has been awhile since you heard from us here at This is Korea. We hope that you and you loved ones have been safe during this global pandemic. Although our industry has been hard hit, we here at This is Korea are safe and very much still hard at work.
We saw this time off as an opportunity to improve our site with some new features and add some long needed new tour products. From the very beginning in 2013, we specialized specifically in providing customized private tours.
Over the years, our clients have asked for more variety in what we offer and we have listened. We have launched a few dozen new tour products spread out over a few different categories. You can also book these new tour products directly online with a credit card of your PayPal balance. We are not finished and will definitely adding many more tour products.
Communication is key, so we made it easier for you to reach out to us. At the bottom right of each page on our website, there will always be a Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp icon. You can now click on these icons and send us your questions in seconds instead of having to fill out an inquiry form delivered via email.
We have also added a couple of new pages to our website that we hope will act as a helpful references to aid you in getting to know Korea better and to help you better plan your trip. Without further ado, here is what we have added:

Below are brief descriptions of the new tour categories we have added. The categories are broken into 2 types, private and join in tours.
Private Tours
Private tours are just that, private. You will be traveling in your own private vehicle with your very own guide/driver. Nobody else will be able to join your group. This option is perfect for families, large groups, and luxury travelers.
Custom Private Tours (Licensed Guide & Private Vehicle)
This is the original type of tour we have always offered since day 1. We provide you with a private vehicle and licensed guide who doubles as both your guide and driver.
As always,the itinerary is fully customized to your liking. Since the itinerary is wide open, the rates provided are without entrance fees and cost of your meals since these costs can vary wildly based on what type of itinerary you want.

Custom Private Transport Only Tours (Driver & Private Vehicle)
This is similar to our “Custom Private Tours.” The only difference is that the driver is not a licensed guide. The driver is not a guide, but can communicate in English.
This tour product type is perfect for those who want to customize their itinerary, but don’t necessary need a guide, but more of a driver. This option is a bit more budget friendly than the “Custom Private Tour as well.
The itinerary is fully customized to your liking. Since the itinerary is wide open, the rates provided are without entrance fees and cost of your meals since these costs can vary wildly based on what type of itinerary you want.

Private Transport Only Tours (Driver & Private Vehicle)
This is the same as the previous option. We will provide you with a private vehicle and driver. However, this type of tour does not have custom itineraries. These tours have pre-set itineraries with pre-set destinations.
Unlike the previous customized options, the cost of entrance fees are included since the itinerary is pre-set. The cost of your meals however, are not and you still have the freedom to eat whatever you want.
This option is ideal for those who want to travel privately, but don’t need a custom itinerary. Of all the private tour options, this is the most budget friendly.

Join In Tours
For years, clients have asked us to launch join in tours. We were always reluctant because we weren’t how sure we can manage the quality when putting strangers together in a group.
We have come to the conclusion that it is our duty to offer what the people want. As far as quality is concerned, that is something we will have to work extremely hard on to keep up the same level of service.
Small Group Join In Transport Tours (9 Pax Maximum)
The “Small Group Join In Transport Tour” is exactly what it sounds like. To keep it more intimate and better quality, the maximum number of combined people is 9 per group.
The itinerary is pre-set with pre-set destinations. The cost of entrance fees are included in the rates. The cost of your meals are not included. You will have flexibility with what you want to eat.
This option is ideal for people who are traveling in groups of 1-3 where the cost of a private tour can be more of a burden.

Large Group Join In Tour
The “Large Group Join In Tour” is a seat in coach tour. You will travel as part of a larger group in a coach bus.
The itinerary is pre-set with pre-set destinations. The cost of entrance fees are included in the rates. The cost of your meals are not included. You will have flexibility with what you want to eat.
This option is ideal for solo and budget travelers.

Ticketing & SIM/Wifi
We now offer discounted tickets to various attractions and shows. You can also purchase and rent SIM cards and portable wifi devices. You can make all purchases directly on our site.

Whatsapp & Facebook Messenger
Communicating with us is now a lot easier. There is now a Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger icon on your screen at all times, no matter what page you are on. You can now send us your questions and requests with a single click instead of having to send an inquiry form via email.
Suggeted Itineraries
We have added a database page with s”Suggested itineraries” that can be broken down by province and different categories. This is a perfect resource for those of you who want to customize your itinerary, but aren’t quite sure what you want your itinerary to be.
We have a limited number of itineraries at the moment, but rest assured we are hard at work and will be adding many more itineraries in the coming months.
