Great place to visit in Seoul. So much more to this place than just a tall tower. Good (touristy) shops and plenty of quality places to eat. The views, as expected, is fantastic. But the best part for us was the martial arts show, which we caught just by chance. Must see!!!
I’ve been to Seoul many times, and have always wanted to visit Seoul Tower. We decided to go on a weekday to avoid the large crowd, and it was quite packed on a Thursday afternoon after lunch.
We didn’t buy tickets in advance, and it was still an easy process – round trip ticket for 14,000 KRW per person for adults and KRW per person for the observation deck which might not be worth it, but a lot to see and do while at Seoul Tower and we probably spent close to two hours there site seeing and taking pics. Then relaxed and ordered drinks and enjoyed the scenic views from the top.
Fantastic view. Amazing experience. Great animations inside the tower also. An absolute must. We did initially struggle to find the cable car, but we got there in the end!!
Definitely recommend to buy an observatory experience. Some people tell you that the views from the tower terraces themselves are just as good but if you’re here for the first and probably only time – just do it. There was almost no waiting time on a Monday when I visited. And you can see more things and buildings as it’s 360. We also had dinner at the restaurant on the 1F – a more traditional and affordable Korean (or just a mix of Asian foods) restaurant.
You can also send a postcard – just buy as many as you want and tell the cashiers you want to do so. You have stickers, pens, pencils, and you can get busy with it easily.
Look at the floor for guidance what buildings and landscape you’re looking at as it’s noted.
All in all – a great experience. If you find that Lotte Tower is too busy – then definitely do N Tower!
Nice city view once you are up. you may go on foot by climbing the stairs if you want, it was good exercise. or you may take the cable car. so many couples walking. Don’t go alone 🙂
Amazing views…we can see the city of Seoul from above… rows of tall buildings, with green mountains in the background… The location is also shaded by lots of green trees… to reach the location, use the cable car for about 3 minutes
Another attraction right in the centre of Seoul that doesn’t cost you anything is the Seoul Tower, also known as Namsan Tower, an iconic landmark and a popular tourist attraction.
This tower is on private land therefore accessing is made possible by the provided bus to reach the tower. Don’t worry about the fare, it costs you nothing and inexpensive. The tower reaches a height of over 480 meters above sea level.
I came to understand that this is an observatory tower built by the local government. The surrounding area is open to public to enjoy and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Seoul city. Here you have a glimpse of the panoramic view of Seoul city.
After alighting from the bus you have to walk a short distance to reach the attractions. Upon reaching the tower, you’ll be captivated by its striking architecture and the surrounding lush greenery of Namsan Park. The tower’s observatory deck is the highlight of the visit, offering a 360-degree view of the sprawling cityscape, majestic mountains, and the Han River winding through Seoul.
There are numerous attractions and activities to enjoy. From virtual reality experiences and interactive exhibitions to trendy restaurants and souvenir shops, there’s something for everyone.

Whether you’re into nature, architectural designs, or simply here to soak up the mesmerizing panoramic view, Seoul Tower promises an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this feeling since you’re in Seoul of the uncanny beauty with an extravagant landmark.
Great to visit at night with stunning views of the city.
We walked up to the tower which is a reasonably strenuous climb.
Fantastic views of the city at the top. We unfortunately arrived too late (22:30) to go up the tower itself but the views from the base were well worth the climb.
Epic views of the city, really cool experience. Make sure you use the loo with a view if you don’t feel too exposed! Recommend hiking through the park to get there too, a really pretty walk and covered so all in the shade.
Excellent view of the city.
I went up the tower 30min before sunset which was ideal for the view of the city in the day and night.
Managed to get some great pictures without too much inference from other city tourists.
I did hike up to the tower on foot but make sure you have decent shoes, great views as you go up. A Cable car is available to those of us who like to relax.
Leave yourself some time to take pictures and peruse the souvenir shops and coffee shop at the footing of the tower.
