It looks like a really great place for kids to play. The water was clear, the air was clear, and it was really nice. ^^
Wunderschöner Strand, sauberes Wasser, sehr flach. Allerdings ohne natürlichen Schatten
Beach in JEJU Island, small but nice view.
Hyeopjae Beach is famous for its beautiful water color.
Catch a lodging nearby and watch the sunset nearby in the evening
I also went there in the morning. The weather was a bit cloudy, but the emerald waves were still nice. The sea breeze isn’t too cold~ I want to go again when the weather is nice.
We had so much fun at this beach. A beautiful view of the island and lots of areas for swimming of exploration of nature. We found a lot of hermit crabs and other small sea creatures to explore. This place is great for families and anyone who loves the ocean. It does get busy with a lot of people and parking was a bit tough. We opted for paid parking which cost us around $3 CAD – totally worth it.
Great view! Beach good for kiddies with lots of sand and shallow water. Rental beach umbrellas are removed at 3pm. Parking may be a little busy.
Hyeopjae is one of the best all-around beaches in Jeju! We go mostly because it has amazing sunset views (especially because of Biyangdo island across the way). Yes, it is very crowded during the daytime in the summer and parking can be a challenge (2 official parking lots and then free street parking) but if you come in the evening for the sunset, it will have cleared out a lot. It is a very convenient beach and very family friendly – tons of businesses around within walking distance (food, beverage, souvenir shops, recreation, etc.) and very adult-friendly as well (bars, noraebang, restaurants, recreation).
There are showers and some businesses selling hot shower services. There’s a nice big bathroom and a wash-off area as well.
It’s a great beach to hang out with your friends – there’s plenty of space and the sunset is beautiful. Everyone goes out and buys some food from the restaurants and we have a picnic!
The only thing is that the swimming here will be extremely limited. In the summer, they have a very specifically delineated area you can swim in where the deepest depth is less than 1.5 m/4 feet. The lifeguards watch you like a hawk. But that makes it kid-friendly! Additionally they start herding you out of the water around 6:30 PM and fully require everyone to vacate the waters before 8 PM. So if you’re an adult, just be aware you’ll only be able to splash around more than swim!
A beautiful, lively beach, and right next to it is Kim’s Burger&Chicken. The best black pork burger I’ve ever eaten!
We came early and had a sea-side brunch. It was delightful. The water was clear and the beach was clean.
Beautiful beach and great for families with kids!
Very nice beach with good amenities
Very nice place, great views and sandy beach!
All facilities are available.
Just decide
If you travel to the west of Jeju, this beach is a must-visit. It is a very popular place and the emerald color of the sea is really pretty. Also, if you look at it from the beach, it’s good to take pictures with Biyangdo Island as the background.
Nice beach in Jeju with many rocks and mazing view around.
Gorgeous beach. Many shades of blue. The water is getting warmer!
Fantastic beach, definitely a must on any Jeju trip
Hyeopjae Beach was clear, soft sand, less seaweed but crowded, so I swam at Geumneung Beach, which was walking distant since it’s on the same area. Geumneung had some seashells on the sand shores, more seaweed, and water was slightly less clear, but I really liked it since it was less crowded and a bigger swimming area. Waves were really soft, so I was able to float on my back. Weather changed from sunny to stormy really fast and it was a nice experience. Warm and cold water keep coming and going.
