It was built by the third king of Joseon, King Taejong, and over the centuries, many kings conducted their official duties there. Changdeokgung is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its beautiful architecture and gardens that harmonize with nature.

One of the most distinctive features of Changdeokgung is the Secret Garden, or Biwon, designed to integrate seamlessly with the natural landscape. This garden adheres to traditional Korean principles of garden design, providing a private retreat for relaxation and leisure for the king and his family.

Changdeokgung is a popular tourist destination, appreciated for its historical value and beauty, offering a glimpse into the splendor of traditional Korean architecture and royal culture.

The Secret Garden, also known as Huwon, is a royal garden within Changdeokgung Palace, famous for its unique design that harmonizes with the natural landscape. Initially established in 1405 and reconstructed in 1633, this garden is a quintessential representation of traditional Korean naturalistic gardening.

Huwon offers visitors a tranquil and beautiful retreat with its combination of valleys, forests, and ponds. Originally used by the king and nobility for contemplation and rest, the garden is cherished for its beauty and historical significance.

The Secret Garden is one of the highlights of the Changdeokgung tour, offering a different natural beauty with each season.

Jongmyo is a royal shrine in Seoul that houses the ancestral tablets of the kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty. The structure of Jongmyo is long and narrow, making it one of the longest wooden buildings in the world. Inside, there are several chambers where the ancestral tablets of Joseon monarchs and their consorts are enshrined, each with its unique name and history.

Every year, Jongmyo hosts a traditional ritual called 'Jongmyo Jerye', an important ceremony that dates back to the Joseon Dynasty.

Jongmyo's historical and cultural significance makes it a must-visit for many tourists in Korea, offering a direct experience of the country's traditions and history.

The Blue House is the official residence of the President of the Republic of Korea and a symbolic building of the government. It has been used as the place where the President of the Republic of Korea works and where official events are held. The name of the Blue House is derived from the blue tile roof of the building.

The Blue House is surrounded by beautiful natural surroundings, with Bukaksan Mountain behind it and Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace in front, strategically located. There are large gardens and various security facilities around it, ensuring the safety of the President while providing beautiful scenery to visitors.

After the inauguration of the Yoon Seok-yeol government in May 2022, the Presidential Office was moved to Yongsan and the Blue House was opened to the public. The Blue House was developed into a historical park so that anyone can freely visit and experience history and culture.

Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is a large-scale cultural complex located in Dongdaemun District, Seoul, designed by the world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid. Opened in 2014, the building is famous for its futuristic appearance and sleek curves, establishing itself as a new landmark in Seoul.

DDP serves as a venue for various exhibitions, fashion shows, conferences, and international events centered around fashion, design, and technology. It also functions as a public space, open to citizens and tourists alike. The plaza acts as a hub for global designers and artists to display their work and exchange creative ideas.

Inside DDP, there are multiple exhibition spaces, design shops, galleries, auditoriums, and seminar rooms, allowing visitors to engage with diverse design-related experiences. Additionally, the building is connected to the nearby Dongdaumun market area, enhancing its regional characteristics as a hotspot for the latest trends in fashion and culture.

Adjacent to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park, the DDP is particularly striking at night when illuminated by elaborate lighting, enriching Seoul's nightlife. As a symbol of the fusion of contemporary design and culture, DDP garners attention both nationally and internationally.

Cheonggyecheon is an artificial stream that flows through downtown Seoul and has historically played a significant role in the lives of Seoul's citizens. Originally a natural stream, Cheonggyecheon deteriorated into an unsanitary and unhealthy environment by the 1950s, leading to its being covered as part of urban planning initiatives. However, a restoration project from 2003 to 2005 brought it back to life as a stream, shaping its present form.

The restoration was undertaken to improve the urban environment of Seoul and provide a space for relaxation and leisure for its citizens. Today, Cheonggyecheon stretches 10.9 kilometers across the city center, hosting various cultural events and festivals.

The area around the stream features well-maintained walkways, benches, and landscaping, making it a beloved space for those seeking a natural retreat within the city. Additionally, Cheonggyecheon is surrounded by historic sites and modern commercial facilities, offering a unique place where visitors can experience both the past and present of Seoul. Cheonggyecheon remains a popular destination for tourists, standing as a symbol of peace and relaxation in the heart of the city.
