Enjoy 4 hours of free time at Korean Folk Village. Koran Folk Village is a recreation of what a village from the Joseon Dynasty Era would have looked like. Take a trip into time and learn about tradition history, cultures, and customs.
Fans of Korean dramas will also recognize Korean Folk Village as a shooting location for dramas such as "Dae Jang Geun" and "My Love From The Stars."
There is a traditional Joseon Era style bazaar and a restaurant where you can eat delicious Korean foods. We recommend eating lunch here. This will be your best opportunity to eat a meal during your busy day.
There are a variety of performances to watch and activities (optional) to take part in . Performances and activities vary be season. Please be sure to take a look at their homepage to see what is happening currently:
After Hawseong Fortress, you will make a 40-50 minute drive to your final destination, Gwangmyeong Cave. You will have 1.5 hours of free time.
Gwangmyeong Cave is an old mine that opened in 1912 that produced Gold, Silver, Bronze, Zinc, and other minerals for over 60 years. The mine was closed in 1972 due to environmental reasons.
For a period of 30 years, it was used as a storage space for shrimp. The cave was purchased by the city of Gwangmyeong in 2011 and open to the public as an amusement park of sorts.
