Gangchon Railbike, Nami Island & Garden of Morning Calm Seat In Coach Tour

Your first attraction of the day will be Gangchon Railbike. You will board a train at Gimyujeong Station, which will take you on a 20 minute train ride to Gangchon Station. 

Take in the beautiful scenery as you peddle alongside a 6km stretch of railway which runs along Bukhangang River. This is an old train railway that used to connect Seoul and Chincheon. 

There is about 50 minutes of actual peddling time and 20 minutes of rest time in between. It is not too strenuous, but it can be a little difficult for elderly and people with physical conditions. 

After your ride is complete, a shuttle bus will take you back to Gimyujeong Station where your driver will be waiting. 

After your driver retrieves your tickets for you, you will enter Nami Island via ferry. If you chose the the zip wire option, you will ride the zip wire onto the island.  

You will have 3.5 hours of free time to roam Nami Island. There is plenty to do inside Nami Island. You can check out beautiful scenery, rent and ride bikes, check out galleries, watch performances, ride a trolley, and much more!  

There are a dozen restaurants and cafes with varying menu options you can eat and drink at on the island. We recommend having lunch at Nami Island. This will be the best opportunity for you to have a meal during your busy day.   

Korean drama fans will also recognize Nami Island as the shooting location for a famous scene in the classic drama "Winter Sonata."

After Nami Island, you will make a 50 minute trip to your final destination, Garden of Morning Calm. You will have 1.5 hours of free time. 

The Garden of Morning Calm is the brainchild of Han San Kyung, who was a professor of horticulture at Sahmyook University and opened as a private garden in 1996. The Garden of Morning Calm houses over 500 species of plants both indoor and outdoors.

You can enjoy spectacular scenery throughout the garden during Spring, Summer and Autumn months. During Winter months, it is a popular destination in the evening when the garden is decorated with over 30,000 lights. 

Like Nami Island and Petite France, Garden of Morning Calm has been used as a backdrop to scenes in Korean dramas. Most notably, "Moonlight Drawn by The Clouds."
